SALZBURG, Austria/YORK, Pa., USA: Global dental manufacturer Dentsply Sirona has announced a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of privately held MIS Implants Technologies, a dental implant manufacturer headquartered in northern Israel, for US$375 million (€341.5 million). According to the companies, the agreement creates many new opportunities for growth and services for both parties, and this will benefit customers and patients around the globe.

BENSHEIM, Germany/SALZBURG, Austria: Dentsply Sirona treatment centres must meet the needs of different users all around the world. In order to achieve an in-depth understanding of these needs and use them as the basis for further development, the company invited 33 selected treatment centre users from 18 countries to a three-day symposium in Bensheim. The first global Key User Summit, which took place from 30 May to 1 June, provided the dental experts with a platform for exchanging experiences and opinions, both with Dentsply Sirona and each other.

BRUSSELS, Belgium: Under the EC Merger Regulation, the European Commission has approved the proposed acquisition of dental equipment supplier Sirona by DENTSPLY, subject to conditions. In particular, the decision is conditional upon the extension of licensing agreements between Sirona and its current suppliers of CAD/CAM blocks used in its chairside CAD/CAM systems.
